Forwarders report losses caused by protests of Ingush truckers

The protests of drivers of heavy trucks have paralyzed the work of logistic companies involved in the delivery of goods to Ingushetia, entrepreneurs said, adding with regret that truckers from other regions are afraid of coming to the republic.

Truckers reported on April 19 that their protest against the "Platon" system held near the town of Karabulak caused no reaction of the authorities.

As of April 20, there were up to 30 trucks near Karabulak, the protesters report.

According to Sultan Dakhkilgov, the head of one of logistic companies, his company "has failed with its liabilities to its customers because of truckers’ protests in Ingushetia."

In her conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, a source from the forwarding company “Magnagroup”, has also told about financial losses caused by truckers’ protests. "Now, because of failed obligations, we have to hold explanations with our customers; it is quite possible that in the future we’ll be exposed to penal sanctions," she said.

She regretted that freight forwarders "have no alternatives of goods haulage."
