Sellers on protest refuse to unblock street in Makhachkala

Gamidov Avenue will not be unlocked until the authorities meet the demands of sellers from the clothing market burned down. This was announced by 200 participants of the protest action.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the sellers from the market burned down in Makhachkala have again organized a spontaneous rally. They demand compensation for their losses. In the morning, about 400 people came to the rally.

In Makhachkala, the clothing market "Dagelektromash" was burned down on March 31. The Mayor's Office promised to pay compensation to the entrepreneurs affected by the fire and to exempt them from taxes for a year. On April 1, some of the fire victims demanded to restore the market at the same place.

The entrepreneurs on protest have demanded from the authorities "to start an immediate clearance of the market territory and to let them work." Besides, they also requested the compensation for their lost property.

Let us remind you that after the fire, 33 people applied for medical assistance. Investigators consider arson as the main version of the fire.
