"United Ossetia" Party nominates Anatoly Bibilov as presidential candidate

Anatoly Bibilov has promised his party members to seek the reunification of Ossetia and to fight against corruption.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in South Ossetia, the election is scheduled for April 9, 2017.

Since 2008, Anatoly Bibilov holds the post of the Minister for Emergencies of South Ossetia. On June 8, 2014, the "United Ossetia" Party led by him won the parliamentary elections.

The main issue on the agenda at the party congress was nomination of Anatoly Bibilov as a candidate for the post of the President of South Ossetia at the presidential elections to be held on April 9. The decision to nominate him was made by secret voting.

According to the secretary of the party congress, in total, 300 delegates took part in the voting.

Anatoly Bibilov has emphasized that he intends to fulfil all the items of his party programme, the basic idea of which is in the reunification of North Ossetia and South Ossetia.

The presidential candidate has also drawn the audience's attention to the fight against corruption and called on his party members to build Ossetia, "for life comfortable for all citizens without exceptions."
