Group of Chechen natives detained in Germany
Sixteen alleged members of a criminal grouping have been detained in Germany. Most of them are natives of Chechnya seeking asylum in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The special operation of police forces was conducted in the three federal lands of Germany. This was reported on its official website by the Saxony Land Office of Criminal Cases. Apart from Saxony, the operation was held in Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
All the detainees are accused of creating an organized criminal grouping, group robbery extortions, threats, illegal deprivation of freedom, causing bodily harm and other criminal offenses, says the press release of the Office, which also emphasizes that special police forces were engaged because of the "high level of suspects' readiness to use violence," the "Deutsche Welle" reports.
