Georgian NGO demands to cancel election results at one polling station
NGO "International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy" demands to recount ballots in some polling stations and to annul the results of the voting at the parliamentary elections at one polling station.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Georgia, 50 electoral districts held the second round of the parliamentary elections from single-seat electoral districts.
According to the NGO "International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy", the results of the parallel vote count, held by the NGO in four majority constituencies, including the Marneuli, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, and Akhaltsikhe-Adigeni districts, coincided with the preliminary data of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia, except for the results of the count in the Marneuli district, the "Georgia Online" reports today.
The NGO has also claimed violations detected at several polling stations, including discrepancy in the numbers of ballots and signatures, improper preparation of the final protocols, some cases of corrections, as well as violation of the secrecy of ballots. On the basis of the above facts, the NGO has voiced the request to recount the ballots and to annul the election results at one of the polling stations, reports the edition without specifying the numbers of the polling stations.
