Court acquits participant of protest action in Beslan
Today, the Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia has cancelled the sentence to community service pronounced against Zemfira Tsirikhova, a resident of Beslan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 1, in Beslan, law enforcers detained women involved in a protest action, who came dressed in the T-shirts with accusations against the President of Russia. The Pravoberezhny Court of North Ossetia found them guilty of violating the public order. The Court sentenced four female activists to 20 hours of community service and fined two others 20,000 roubles. Zemfira Tsirikhova was also sentenced to community service. Meanwhile, she was not involved in the protest action, but she only stood next to the protestors.
Today, the Supreme Court of North Ossetia has completely dismissed the charge against Zemfira Tsirikhova. The SC has found out that Zemfira Tsirikhova was not involved in the action, since she was not wearing a T-shirt with the accusations against the President of Russia.
