Resident of North Ossetia fined for attacking journalists in Beslan

A man involved in an attack on journalists in Beslan is fined by the court for pouring with green paint Elena Kostyuchenko, a correspondent of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 3, in Beslan, a group of young people attacked Ella Kesaeva, the leader of the organization "Voice of Beslan", Elena Kostyuchenko, a correspondent of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", and Diana Khachatryan, a reporter of the edition "Takie Dela". The attackers poured the women with green paint, seized their mobile phones and fled in front of the police. A man suspected of involvement in the attack was detained on the same day.

"He was fined under Article 'Disorderly conduct'," reported a source from the law enforcement bodies.

According to the source, the journalists were not accredited to attend the mourning ceremonies, and in addition, they have no their journalists' IDs with them.
