In Dagestan, investigators institute case on Zalina Dalieva's death caused by negligence
In Dagestan, investigators have started to investigate the case on maternity patient's death caused by negligence at the perinatal centre in Khasavyurt.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of February 3, in Khasavyurt, relatives of Zalina Dalieva, a local woman, who died on January 29 after a surgery, came to the building of the perinatal centre. People claimed that the woman's death was caused by doctors' fault. As at 3:30 p.m. of February 3, according to a woman participating in the protest action, about 1300 people gathered near the perinatal centre.
According to investigators, on January 11, the republican perinatal centre in Khasavyurt accepted a 34-year-old mother of four children, who was about to give birth to her next child. On January 27, she underwent a surgery prescribed following the medical examination. As a result, two children were born. By the morning of January 28, the condition of the patient rapidly deteriorated, and she underwent an emergency surgery. However, doctors did not succeed in saving the woman's life.
The investigations are underway to find out the qualification of doctors, expediency and quality of services they provide, as well as to reveal comprehensive measures taken to save the maternity patient's life, reports the message posted on the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in the evening of February 3.
