NAC reports on four killed militants near Buynaksk

The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has updated the information on the number of persons killed in the Buynaksk District of Dagestan last night. According to the NAC, four militants were killed, and none of law enforcers were injured.

Earlier, a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan has reported on the neutralization of three members of the armed underground in the course of a shootout with the police on the outskirts of the village of Chabanmakhi.

According to the NAC's information, the fire was opened on policemen from a passenger car when they tried to stop a VAZ-2107 car without state licence plates.

Four persons who were inside the car were killed, and the car was burned. Meanwhile, none of law enforcers were injured, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the NAC.

Automatic weapons and ammunition were found at the place of the shootout.

"The measures are being taken to examine the burnt out car by combat engineers, to identify the criminals, and to check their involvement in terror acts," reports an official of the NAC as quoted by the "Interfax".
