Ramzan Kadyrov threatens to come to Ukraine in spite of sanctions
When commenting on his inclusion in the sanctions list, the leader of Chechnya has declared that Kiev officials are unable to prevent his visit to Ukraine.
On September 16, the Ukrainian authorities announced the sanction list, which included Russian citizens and companies. In total, the Kiev officials imposed restrictions on 400 individuals and 90 companies.
"The actions of [Ramzan Kadyrov] create real and/or potential threats to the national interests, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," states the list of individuals subjected to the sanctions.
Today, in his turn, Ramzan Kadyrov has called the decision made by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko a "stupid decree." "We wish this country nothing bad; however, who will come to help them in the early hours, if, Allah forbid, any tragedy happens?" stated the Chechen leader on his page on Instagram.
"Do not make even the citizens of Ukraine laugh, who are well aware that your orders are like soap bubbles and actually play no role. I have not accounts at Kiev banks; however, if I want to come, nobody will ever stop me and dare to ask my name," added the Chechen leader when addressing Petro Poroshenko.
