Gori-Tskhinvali road blocked by Georgian special operations forces
The Committee on Information and Press of the breakaway republic of South Osetia reported on June 1 that Georgian special operations forces closed off villages situated along the Gori-Tskhinvali central road.
"By their geographical position, these villages are situated close to the territory of the Gori district of Georgia and the road connecting them with the capital of South Osetia, Tskhinvli, passes through Georgian settlements. And this road is blocked by Georgian special operations units. The Osetian population living in the area has been deprived of the chance to get living essentials for several days already," reads the committee's report.
