Ramzan Kadyrov permit to open fire on participants of special operations not sanctioned by Chechen authorities

When commenting on the murder of Djambulat Dadaev in Grozny by Stavropol power agents, the leader of Chechnya has stated that no one is authorized to carry out special operations in the republic without the sanction of the local authorities. Ramzan Kadyrov allowed opening fire on participants of special operations in cases of absence of the above sanctions. The investigating authorities of Chechnya have instituted a criminal case into the death of Djambulat Dadaev.

On April 19, Djambulat Dadaev, who was on the federal wanted list, was killed in Grozny while he tried to ram a police car. The operation was carried out by staff members of the UVD (Interior Department) for the Stavropol Territory and the Temporary Operational Group of agencies and units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) deployed in Khankala.

According to the "Caucasian Knot" source, the investigation into the above fact was initiated at the request of Ramzan Kadyrov, who criticized the actions of power agents and demanded to punish participants of the special operation. According to the Chechen leader, he became indignant about the fact that staff members of the UVD of the Stavropol Territory failed to inform their Chechen colleagues about the forthcoming special operation.

Meanwhile, a staff member of the Temporary Operational Group of agencies and units of the Russian MIA has claimed no violation of the law had been committed in the course of the special operation in Grozny.

According to a former Chechen law enforcer, the local authorities' statement is formally right.
