Organizer of "Vesna" March in Volgograd reports threats received by his mother

The mother of Anatoly Boltykhov, the organizer of the failed "Vesna" (Spring) March in Volgograd, was threatened by law enforcers, said Anatoly, adding that he was also afraid of possible provocations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 27, Anatoly Boltykhov, who is also a coordinator of the "International Human Rights Alliance", was arrested for two days in Volgograd. In the evening on March 1, he was released from police. On March 2, he said that he was leaving for Moscow to the funeral of Boris Nemtsov; and upon his return home, he would appeal against his administrative arrest.

In the evening on March 2, on his way to Moscow, Boltykhov learned that law enforcers called his mother and demanded to show them the car, which is by documents owned by her, and which was used by Anatoly for his trip to Moscow, he himself told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Now, policemen are trampling on my mother, who, in fact, has just been discharged from hospital after surgery. They threaten to find drugs at our home," he said.
