Terrorist act committed in Grozny
A terrorist act was committed in the Leninsky district of the Chechen capital, Grozny, in the morning of May 20, a source at the republican interior ministry told the Caucasian Knot correspondent. "Rebels committed a new terrorist act in the Leninsky district of Grozny in the morning today. A high-capacity landmine mounted on the roadside was set off when a car with GIBDD (State Inspection for Traffic Security) officers was passing by. Junior Lieutenant Baskhanov suffered severe injuries as a result of the blast. He is in hospital now," a duty officer at the ministry said on May 20. Criminal investigation of the happening has been launched.
