In Azerbaijan, APFP reports detention of its activist Ruslan Nasirli
On August 2, in Baku, the police detained Ruslan Nasirli, a member of the Youth Committee of the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APFP). This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Asif Yusifli, a legal representative of Ruslan Nasirli, a member of the Supreme Majlis of the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APFP).
Asif Yusifli believes Ruslan Nasirli was detained, since he created a Facebook group "Supreme Commander, answer to the people!" on the Internet.
According Asif Yusifli, on August 1, in relation with the reports from the Karabakh front on numerous casualties of the Azerbaijani army, Ruslan Nasirli felt "an emotional rush and created a Facebook group 'Supreme Commander, answer to the people!' with a call to protest against the actions of the military leaders that resulted in human casualties."
Till present, the whereabouts of Ruslan Nasirli is unknown. Besides, the essence of the law enforcers' claims against him is also unclear. According to Asif Yusifli, the Facebook group created by Ruslan Nasirli has already been closed.
Law enforcement authorities have not yet commented on the reports on the activist's detention.
