Grozny police confiscates pistol and ammunition from a local

On May 20, policemen detained a resident of Grozny, in whose flat they found a TT pistol and ammunition, an officer of the Chief Department of the MIA for Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"In an apartment block in Tukhachevsky Street in the Lenin District of the Chechen capital, a 34-year-old local resident was detained, suspected of illegal possession of firearms," said the source.

According to his story, the detainee was released under recognizance not to leave on the same day, after the due formalities were over. The issue of opening a criminal case against him is now considered under the article that provides for liability for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Let us remind you that on May 19 in the Naur District of Chechnya policemen detained two men who attempted to sell a batch of firearms.
