Revival party refuses to take part in work of Georgian parliament

The deputies who are members of the Revival party led by head of Georgia's Adjarian autonomy Aslan Abashidze will not attend sessions of the Georgian parliament. Six majority deputies for the autonomy elected in the course of the 2 November 2003 parliamentary elections made such a decision after consultations with their voters, informed the Adjarian delegation in Tbilisi.

Besides, the decision by the Georgian Central Election Commission to hold the second round of elections in two Adjarian districts has provoked people's protest against "the distrust shown by the center", said the head of the delegation, Gamlet Chipashvili.

The first session of the new Georgian parliament is set for April 21.
