Village administration chief, security man killed in Chechnya
Head of the village administration Alvi Valiyev and his bodyguard were murdered in Komsomolskoye, Chechnya in the evening of April 15.
A source at the Gudermes district administration told Interfax that unidentified gunmen opened automatic fire at the Lada car in which Valiyev was driving at 9:45 p.m. inflicting lethal wounds to the two men.
Twenty Kalashnikov assault rifle cartridge cases and other material evidence were found at the scene.
Search and detective efforts are conducted to identify and detain persons related to the crime.
