Residents of Borlakov, who died in ROVD in KChR, satisfied with detention of 11 policemen

The family of Murat Borlakov, who died in the Ust-Djegutin ROVD (District Interior Division), is satisfied with the decision of Kazimir Botashev, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) to detain 11 power agents in connection with the incident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Murat Borlakov, along with his two friends, was detained by police men on February 3 and taken to the above ROVD. According to his friends and testimonies of his relatives, an hour after detention, due to the use by policemen of physical violence and torture by electric current, Borlakov died.

In the evening of that very day, Murat's relatives blocked the Federal Highway "Cherkessk-Dombay" demanding the arrival of the Interior Minister and the republic's leadership.

After detention of Murat Karakotov, the chief of the district criminal police, and other ten employees of the Ust-Djegutin ROVD the relatives stopped their action.

The uncle of the deceased said in his comment to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the detention of the policemen, involved in bringing Murat Borlakov to the ROVD, indicates a serious attitude of law enforcement leadership to what has happened.
