Armenian ombudsperson: no due attention to Budapest murder case
There is one episode in the case on the murder of an Armenian officer in Budapest, namely an attempt to murder another officer of the Armenian Armed Forces, which has been disregarded for some reason, Armenian ombudswoman Larisa Alaverdian told journalists. She raised her concern that "public and law circles and the minister of defense did not deign to reveal the second case." Besides, the mass media react to the incident quite weakly, she said. The Armenian ombudsperson finds it inadmissible that only one lawyer from Armenia will take part in the investigation into the murder. Other lawyers and experts in the history of the Karabakh war since 1988 should be sent to Budapest as well, Ms Alaverdian said.
