In Ingushetia, human rights organization "Mashr" awards winners of contest "Heroes of Civil Society"

On January 11, Karabulak hosted the ceremony to award the winners of the contest "Heroes of Civil Society" organized by the human rights organization "Mashr". Tatiana Gantimurova, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, became one of the winners of the contest.

In his blog on the "Caucasian Knot", human rights activist Magomed Mutsolgov, the leader of the organization "Mashr", writes that the winners were determined by the commission from among the candidates nominated by public and human rights organizations, and civil society activists.

According to Magomed Mutsolgov, in the category "For special contribution to the protection of human rights and civil society development", the commission awarded Bagaudin Khadziev, Deputy Chairman of the public organization "Union of Genocide Victims ", and Ekaterina Sokiryanskaya, the head of the Russian Office of the International Crisis Group, a member of the Board of the International Society "Memorial".

In the category "For courage and objectivity in journalism", the commission awarded the magazine "Dosh" and Tatiana Gantimurova, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In the category "For peacekeeping", the commission awarded Svetlana Gannushkina, Chair of the Committee "Civil Assistance" and the leader of the network "Migration and Law" of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
