Regular picket held by Antiwar Committee in Saint Petersburg
On April 4, the Antiwar Committee held a regular antiwar picket at the intersection of Nevsky Avenue and Malaya Konyushennaya Street. The peculiarity of the action was the increase in the number of its participants due to members of the youth movement Yabloko and supporters of the Democratic Russia party, reorganized on the initiative of Yuli Ribakov. To protest against the Russian authorities' plans to pass a new law on the order of the holding of manifestations was an additional aim of the picketers (and for the Yabloko activists this aim was the main). The total number of participants in the action exceeded sixty people.
The police behaved correctly. On the whole, few people approached the picketers.
