Illegal settlement of Uzbek workers disclosed in Krasnodar Territory
The press services of the regional interior department and the Federal Security Service (FSB) report that in the course of the operation to reveal illegal migrants, places have been established where many people breaking the rules of residence in Russia live.
These places are mainly pensions and recreation departments in seaside towns, where construction is developed.
Recently, FSB officers disclosed a settlement of workers from Uzbekistan in the Tuapse district. Dozens of them built villas and office buildings in the daytime and spent nights at a Tuapse recreation department.
The workers were forbidden to go out - the door was locked from the outside. Their passports were taken away on the day of their arrival and hidden in a safe. They were given food right in their bedrooms and received no pay. After the visit by officers of the Federal Security Service, prosecutor's office and migration inspection, the worker' "boss" will be called to account. The citizens of Uzbekistan - some 70 people - will go home at the expense of their employers.
