Georgian Foreign Ministry annuls Aslan Abashidze's diplomatic passport
The Georgian Foreign Ministry has annulled diplomatic passports of Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze, his son Georgy Abashidze, who is mayor of Batumi, and Adjarian Interior Minister Djemal Gogitidze. Such a decision was made pursuant to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili's order, reported a source at the ministry.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry does not rule out the possibility that diplomatic and service passports of members of the Revival political party, led by Aslan Abashidze, will also be annulled, the source said.
