Kadyrov dismisses Chechen premier, appoints new one

Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov has dismissed Prime Minister Anatoly Popov.

Sergey Abramov, 32, an official of the Russian Accounts Chamber has been appointed to replace Popov.

The State Council of the Chechen Republic is expected to confirm Abramov's appointment on March 17, and on March 18 he will be introduced to the Chechen Cabinet.
