Pakhomov: the tenants of a house burnt down in Sochi will receive one-time allowances of 5 to 50 thousand rubles
About two hundred people took part in a meeting with Mayor of the city Anatoly Pakhomov held in the courtyard of house No 40, Chebrikov street, that burnt down. During the meeting Mayor of the city promised to repair the damaged flats and façade of the house and pay the sufferers 5 to 50 thousand rubles compensation.
The apartment house in Sochi caught fire early in the morning of December, 8. A woman employee of Mayor’s office perished as a result of fire.
At the meeting with the residents on December, 10, Mayor of Sochi promised to allot 50 thousand rubles to each of the families whose rooms were especially damaged and the rest would receive 5 thousand rubles from a charitable foundation and sponsors. He also said that private developer Anzor Pruidze volunteered to repair the wiring in the dormitory.
However, some of the tenants present at the meeting disagreed saying that this money would not be enough to provide the necessary facilities fresh start.
