Coffins from Chechnya keep on arriving in Astrakhan Region
We write to express our indignation at high-handedness that is going on in our country.
Coffins from Chechnya still arrive in Astrakhan Region. There have been four of them for the last three months.
The last serviceman, who served for a fixed period, was killed on 28 January 2003 on the territory of the Chechen Republic. His relatives got to know about it on the eve of New Year's Day.
The coffin with his body was delivered home in... 21 days. Our practice shows the wait can last for up to 2 weeks...
It is hard to imagine the state of the relatives, friends and common fellow-villagers who feel with them...
Is there anybody able to change the situation? To whom can we appeal so that to produce the most effective result?
