Karachay-Cherkessia sets up commission for adaptation of militants to civilian life
Rashid Temrezov, the leader of Karachay-Cherkessia, signed the decree to establish the Commission to assist in adapting to civilian life those persons, who decided to stop their terrorist and extremist activities in the territory of the republic.
"The Commission to assist in adapting to civilian life those persons, who decided to stop their terrorist and extremist activities represents a permanent consultative and advisory body, which provides interaction of the authorities, law enforcement agencies, public and religious associations," said the representative of the press service of the leader and the government and of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR). He has noted that he spoke of people, who did not violate current laws of the Russian Federation.
According to the decree, members of the Commission should provide the leader of the republic with analyzes, recommendations, to assist people, who decided to stop their terrorist and extremist activities, in legal issues and in addressing their social and labour issues. Besides, the Commission will prepare proposals on improvement of legislation on combating terrorism and extremism.
