Local policeman beaten in Batumi for criticism against Adjarian authorities
Local police officer Zedgur Iokobadze was beaten in Batumi for subjecting Adjarian authorities to criticism.
As reported by Rustavi 2 TV Channel, unknown people forced Iokobadze out of the car when he was going home from work. They started beating him, saying "you are the one who dislikes Abashidze". Adjarian law-enforcement agencies announce it is possible that the incident was a provocation by certain criminal elements and there is no reason for explaining it by political motives.
