16-year-old citizen of Grozny spent a week under arrest of "Kadyrov's people"
16-year-old Vadayev was released only on December 30, 2003 - exactly in a week after his detention. The young man was seized by a security unit formed of ethnic Chechens (so called "Kadyrov's people"). Vadayev was in his own house in Grozny at the moment of detention. Any details about the grounds and circumstances of the detention have not been ascertained yet. They say the pretext for the detention was the alleged fact that one man suspected of crimes and holding under arrest had called the family name of the Vadayevs among those he had known. To all appearances, the young man was kept in one of the secret jails in the Gudermes district. His parents are seriously worried about their son's fate now. They are hiding him at their friends as they are afraid he can be abducted for the second time.
