A Deputy of the Parliament from People’s party Alik Pliev beaten up in South Osetia
On August, 17, Alik Pliev, Deputy of the Parliament of South Osetia from People’s party, was beaten up in Tskhinval, Inara Gabaraeva, Head of the Committee of victims of fire in North Osetia, reports.
Alan Tskhurbaev, author of the blog “Osetia and around it: a look from inside” wrote about the incident. However, according to him, there is no official corroboration of beating the Deputy yet. The details of the incident are also not exactly known.
According to Inara Gabaraeva, Alan Kochiev, one of the leaders of the political movement “Rukhs Fidaien”, potential presidential candidate, was accused of the crime in a statement submitted to Public prosecutor’s office. Kochiev himself was allegedly detained when he decided to sort everything out in Public prosecutor’s office.
Inara Gabaraeva considers that beating Alik Pliev up was a provocation for the purpose of Alan Kochiev’s discredit.
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that election of Head of the republic was expected to be held this year because Edward Kokoiti’s second presidential term was coming to an end in autumn.
