At night on September 8, in Baksanyonok village, Baksan District, unidentified persons shot dead Federal Judge Dzhulber Bykov.
"The car, in which Dzhulber Bykov was approaching his house, was shelled; he died in place from the received wounds," the law enforcement bodies of the republic report.
"According to the preliminary information, the murder had to do with the judge's professional work," the "Interfax" quotes a source in the law enforcement bodies.
Earlier, Kabardino-Balkaria already saw murders of workers of the judiciary or law enforcement bodies. Thus, two decapitated bodies were found in the luggage compartment of a car on November 23, 2009, in Kyarova Street in the city of Chegem. Later the bodies were identified as Murat Dokshukin, 26, an investigator of the Service of Court Marshals, and Albert Shebzukhov, 27, an inspector of the Baksan ROVD.
In May 2009, Vitaly Bogatyryov, deputy head of the SIZO (pre-trial prison) of the Russian Federal Correction Service (known as UFSIN) for Kabardino-Balkaria was shot dead from his back.
