Three residents of Dagestan set records for the Guinness Book of World Records

 

Today, competitions were held in the Dagestan village of Khadzhalmakhi, where three persons have broken world records in lifting weights attacked to hair, pulling up on a horizontal bar on one hand and keeping a 24-kilo weight by one leg.

One of world records was set by Shamil Magomedov, a resident of the above village. His task was to hold a 24-kilo weight by a leg, stretched out at 90 degrees, as long as possible. In his first try, Shamil Magomedov managed to keep the weight for a bit more than 6 seconds, but in the second try he set his personal and world record - 12.6 seconds.

Another world record was set by the well-known Dagestan athlete from Kizilyurt Abdurakhman Abdulazizov who is already 80. Last year, he lifted the weight of 104 kilos attached to his hair; this time he broke his personal and world record, having lifted 120 kg.

One more record was set by Bulat Aliev who pulled himself up on the horizontal bar 25 times on one hand.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier in Dagestan Sakinat Khanapieva, 76, a resident of Sultan-Yangiyurt village, was recognized to be the strongest grandmother in the world. The woman also got in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Omar Khanapiev, Sakinat's son, the well-known athlete and the owner, under the version of the Guinness Book of World Records, "of the strongest jaw in the world", drags trains, airplanes and steamships by his teeth.
