Residents of Ingushetia are afraid of terror acts after Said Buryatskiy's murder
Local residents are afraid that after the special operation conducted by Russian power agencies on March 3 in Ekazhevo village the republic will face new terror acts. During the operation militants suffered losses and in the near future, most likely, they will strike back. If the fact of liquidation of the ideologist of extremism Said Buryatskiy (Alexander Tikhomirov) is confirmed, their response may be even tougher.
As reported by human rights activist Magomed Mutsolgov, ordinary people are sure that nothing will change in the republic after the special operation and that it is not possible to eradicate murders and kidnappings of peaceful residents in this manner. Buryatskiy, if he is indeed dead, will be replaced by someone other. He is sure that Buryatskiy will be replaced like Shamil Basaev, liquidated in July 2006, was replaced.
In his opinion, the essence of resistance in the Caucasus does not depend on one person. Besides, many do not believe that Said Buryatskiy is among the casualties. He had already "died": his video appeal was placed in the Internet, where he promised to become a shahid by blowing up the Nazran GUVD last August. However, as it became known later, another suicide-bomber acted there.
At present, local journalists and human rights activists are waiting for the end of the mourning ceremonies, ready to go to the venue and learn details; now, the villagers bury their casualties.
Vakha Chapanov, head of the News Agency "Maximum", who visited Ekazhevo, has confirmed: people do not believe that the situation in Ingushetia will stabilize with liquidation of Buryatskiy.
He tends to link the special operation with the recent visit to Ingushetia of Russian Premier Vladimir Putin and Plenipotentiary of Russian President in the NCFD (North-Caucasian Federal District) Alexander Khloponin.
The journalist adds: "I have doubts that Buryatskiy was actually liquidated. As the proof, power agents assert that two passports were found on him - Russian and foreign ones. I don't why the person who hides in the forest would have IDs on him. Maybe, he had some plans for the weekend? Possibly, what happened was just a staging."
