International student conference "Look into the Future" took place in Yerevan

The international student conference "Look into the Future" came to the end in Yerevan on October 11.

As president of the National Association of Armenian Students Abraam Bakhchagyulian reported at a press conference, bilateral agreements with the Association of Russian Students and the Georgian student movement "Georgia's Future" on the creation of the South Caucasian Student Confederation were signed during the conference. The first congress of the confederation will be held on December 12, 2003. Besides, there are plans to arrange the days of Armenian young people in Tbilisi and Georgian young people in Yerevan in the spring of 2004. The organizers expressed regret that students from Azerbaijan had not accepted the invitation to the conference.

Chairman of the conference organizational committee Armen Ashotian stressed the conference was aimed to discuss the rights of the students all over the world and activity of student organizations. About 70 representatives from 13 countries of the world, who represented 35 student organizations, were participants in the conference. The All-Armenian Youth Fund, Yerevan State Medical University, State Institute of Economy, and "Valencia" hotel complex rendered assistance in holding the action.
