South Ossetia accuses Georgia of kidnapping Tskhinvali resident
Under assertions of the South-Ossetian party, Gennady Pliev, an employee of the state security service of South Ossetia was kidnapped at 7:00 a.m. in the district of South Ossetia named Shanghai and bordering on Georgia. The Georgian party asserts that Pliev was detained in its territory.
According to Tskhinvali, Pliev was kidnapped when doing his physical exercises by a group of five persons.
The South-Ossetian party also reports that Pliev received a gunshot wound during the incident, and it has already invited observers of the European Union to examine the place of the incident in Tskhinvali, as the IA "Res" reports.
On the other hand, the Georgian party has confirmed arrest of Gennady Pliev, who, according to Georgian power agents, penetrated with firearms into the territory under Georgia's control, as reported by the "GHN". Now Pliev is kept at the investigatory isolation facility.
