Medvedev is satisfied with the work of President of Chechnya

President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev is satisfied with how President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov is working, and asked foreign political scientists not to depict him as a "bad boy".

"He copes with his duties; he wants to develop his republic and does a lot to this end. He is often criticized, sometimes he deserves it, but mostly he doesn't. He's not the 'bad boy' as some people want to show," Mr Medvedev said at the meeting with participants of the "Valdai" Debate Club.

He has emphasized that lately Mr Kadyrov "has covered a long way from a young man, as I saw him for the first time when his father perished (former President of Chechnya Ahmad Kadyrov), to the mature and well-prepared leader."

Mr Medvedev believes that in Chechnya "the situation is stable, the republic is economically progressing," the ITAR-TASS reports.

"Of course, they have terrorism there; however, it has reached all the countries; and a threat of terrorism exists practically in any city of the world," the "Echo Moskvy" Radio quotes the President of Russia.
