Edelev: in 2009, 68 law enforcers perished in Ingushetia

From the beginning of 2009 in Ingushetia, 68 employees of law enforcement bodies and militaries were lost, and 212 more were wounded. This was stated by Arcadiy Edelev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, in the course of the sitting.

Besides, according to his story, attacks took away the lives of 30 local residents, and 85 civilians were wounded. Mr Edelev, who has started, after the terror act in Nazran, supervising the MIA of Ingushetia, has called to "ensure the principle of inevitability of punishment for crimes and offences and establish the rule of the law."

Valery Zhernov, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, has added that in Ingushetia a number of serious terror acts were prevented this year, and 85 militants were neutralized, the "Ingushetia.Org" reports.

Mr Zhernov has reminded that after the explosion in Nazran the personnel of the republic's MIA works in the strengthened regime.
