South Ossetia marks its Independence Day
The concert under the motto "To Russia with love!" will be the final event of the Tskhinvali's meaningful day of the first anniversary of South Ossetia's independence. An "Open lesson of peace, friendship and arts" is another Russian-South-Ossetian action dedicated to one year after Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's independence.
Besides, August 26 will be notable for Tskhinvali by signing of the intergovernmental agreement on rendering help in social and economic development of South Ossetia, a solemn ceremony of commissioning of the Dzuarikau-Tskhinvali gas main and opening of the new "Moskovskiy" micro-district in the place, where the Georgian village of Tamarasheni was a year ago.
The remarkable date of recognition is celebrated in Abkhazia too. As stated by Sergey Shamba, head of the Abkhazian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a military parade is not planned in Sukhumi: Abkhazia will mark the independence anniversary by solemn actions, sittings and statements.
