Deportee from Egypt Maskhud Abdullaev is in Grozny

Maskhud Abdullaev, son of Chechen field commander Supyan Abdullaev, who was deported from Egypt, is now in Grozny and plans to leave for Baku on July 24 to his mother. He told about it to Svetlana Gannushkina, chair of the Committee "Civil Assistance" in a telephone conversation.

The statement of the "Civil Assistance" that has arrived to the "Caucasian Knot" runs that on July 20, at 6 p.m., a young man called to Ms Gannuskina's mobile phone, presented himself as Beslan Labazanov, an inspector of Investigatory Department for Chechnya, said that he was in charge of checking her application on Maskhud Abdullaev's disappearance and informed that he had summoned Maskhud, and the latter would soon come to the Department.

The inspector offered to call him back, that Gannushkina could talk to Abdullaev herself. When asked how he had managed to find Maskhud, Labazanov answered that he did it with the help of acquaintances.

Let us note here that on July 14 Svetlana Gannushkina, together with Natalia Estemirova who perished on the following day, visited the MIA, the Prosecutor's Office and the Investigatory Committee of Chechnya, where they tried to clear out the fate of the disappeared Maskhud Abdullaev.

Maskhud told Gannushkina that he was in Grozny all this time, staying with his friends. When asked why he had not called his mother to Baku, he answered that he gave her a call on that day, but could not do it before.

"Why didn't you meet your relatives?" Svetlana Gannushkina asked Maskhud. "I don't know," was the answer.
