Amnesty International is concerned of Maskhud Abdullaev's fate

The Amnesty International (AI) is expressing its concern of the fate of Maskhud Abdullaev, a son of Chechen field commander Supyan Abdullaev, deported from Egypt. Human rights activists doubt that he is at large.

Natalia Priyutskaya, AI's representative in London, who is in charge of situation in Northern Caucasus, has reminded that apart from his appearance on TV on June, 30, Abdullaev was also shown afterwards in news issues.

"However, so far we have no information that someone, say, saw him in the street, or someone from his friends or relatives, whom he wanted to visit in Chechnya, met him. As far as we know, he hasn't contacted his mother yet," Ms Priyutskaya said in her conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

She marks that all these facts are causing the AI's concern and doubts whether Abdullaev is really at large.
