At least 28 persons killed in Northern Caucasus last week

During the week on July 2-8, as a result of combat clashes and diversions in Ingushetia, Chechnya and Dagestan, at least 28 persons were killed and at least 36 persons wounded. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent obtained these figures when analysing the report of the Anti-War Club compiled from publications of the "Interfax", RIA "Novosti", ITAR-TASS, "Caucasian Knot" and some other media.

The most complicated situation is in Ingushetia. 19 persons, that is, two thirds out of the above 28, were lost in this republic. In Chechnya, five persons were killed, and four - in Dagestan. 20 casualties are employees of power agencies: 16 militiamen, four militaries of internal troops of Russia's MIA and the Ministry of Defence, and one - a sapper from the FSB.

Under official data, during seven days, eight members of the illegal armed formations were liquidated in fights, six of them in Ingushetia, and two in the Chechen Republic.
