International flower festival held in Armenia

On July 6, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in the capital of Armenia hosted the international flower festival and contest of florists "Brabillion is a Flower of Peace" with participation of professionals from Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The multinational jury comprising clergymen, politicians and militaries will appraise the works of six participants from the above countries. The "News-Armenia" reports that flower compositions were created right on the podium.

The participant from Azerbaijan has noted that it is his first visit to Armenia and is for the first time taking part in such a large festival. He also said that he was pleasantly surprised with amiability of Armenians.

Within the action, 60 Armenian soldiers gathered one thousand flowers in the mountains and sent them to the first ladies of the countries-participants of the festival. Flowers to the first ladies of Azerbaijan and Turkey will be sent through the embassies in Russia, as reported by the "1news.az" Agency with reference to the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
