Tribune newspaper: "Members of Chechen-Kistin diaspora may get into new Georgian parliament"
Members of the Chechen-Kistin diaspora may get into a new Georgian parliament, writes the Georgian Tribune newspaper.
The newspaper names Khizri Aldamov and Meka Khangoshvili as possible candidates.
"Several political parties negotiate with Khizri Aldamov. The most active of them is the president-backed election bloc "For New Georgia", writes the paper.
Aldamov does not deny his possible participation in the elections on November 2 and says he will make a final decision in two weeks. At the same time Aldamov notes he does not intend to cooperate with the bloc "For New Georgia" in spite of all his respect to President Eduard Shevarnadze.
Besides, he positively evaluates a wish of the Pankissi George inhabitants to nominate Meka Khangoshvili as a majority deputy.
According to the newspaper's information, Khangoshvili will be a candidate from the political movement "Caucasian".
