"Chernovik" criminal cases get back to Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan

Today, the Leninskiy Court of Makhachkala has held a preliminary hearing on the criminal case, where 5 journalists of the "Chernovik" weekly are defendants. The criminal case comes back to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

As reported by Magomed Magomedov, a journalist of the weekly, immediately after the start of the session, the state accuser moved a petition on returning the case to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan for merging of two criminal cases (of 31.07.2008 and of 05.03.2009), initiated against journalists of "Chernovik".

The journalists and their advocates have supported the petition, and Judge Zainutdin Madanov made a decision to send the criminal case to the Prosecutor's Office for merging into one proceeding.
