Stavropol Territory: investigation of incitement of schoolboy to suicide completed

The criminal case against the mathematics teacher of Secondary School No. 2 of the village of Aleksandrovskoe has been sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Stavropol Territory for passing the indictment. The lady-teacher is accused of insult and inciting to suicide of a nine-form pupil.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the tragedy took place on January 30, 2008. The boy committed suicide, having left a letter accusing the teacher of his death.

"The investigation has established that the teacher, after the pupil's every unsatisfactory answer, repeatedly abused him in the presence of other pupils, demanded him to telephone his parents and invite them to school. Besides, there were cases when the teacher struck the boy in his head," runs the statement of Russian ICPO, as quoted by the "Interfax".

In the opinion of the investigation, as a result of such regular humiliation by the teacher, the teenager, aiming to commit suicide, swallowed about 60 pills of medicine called drotaverine, which caused sharp poisoning, which had the fatal outcome.

The teacher was presented charges under two articles of the Russian Criminal Code: part 2 Article 130 ("Insult"), and Article 110 ("Incitement to suicide"), as the "Infox.ru" reports.

Punishment under Article 110 ("Incitement to suicide by means of threats, cruel treatment or regular humiliation") assumes up to 5 years of imprisonment.
