In Ryazan on February 23, the 60th anniversary of the deportation of the Chechen people, the Sasovo human rights center Choice of Conscience and the Human Rights School attached to Ryazan's Memorial Society arranged a demonstration of films from the program of the international Chechnya Film Festival, which took place in London, Washington, New-York, Japan and Moscow last year. The action was carried out at the Ryazan Free Lyceum.

The audience, mainly young people, saw Chechen Lullaby, a film by Nino Kirtadze about the horrors of the war in Chechnya, and Assassination of Russia, the famous film by Charles Gazelle that examines the strange incident in Ryazan where the Federal Security Service allegedly conducted exercises and "imitated" the mining of an apartment house in September 1999.
