In North Ossetia, hearing adjourned on holding repeated examinations of Beslan victims' bodies

On March 4, the Promyshlenny Court of North Ossetia postponed the hearing on the complaint of the All-Russian Public Organization "Voice of Beslan" against the actions of the investigatory group of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation regarding Article 125 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure (CCP) till March 11. The relatives of the casualties had claimed to recognize illegal the conducted forensic-medical examinations of the victims' bodies.

Ella Kesaeva, leader of the "Voice of Beslan", told in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the claimants asked to summon the head of the experts' department to the next court session as a witness, for him to explain why the examinations were conducted in the form of external inspection only.

The relatives of the casualties now ask to conduct a repeated forensic-medical examination of the bodies by tissue samples with account of previous drawbacks. They also ask to recognize the results of the complex criminalistic, explosion-technical and ballistic forensic examination illegitimate because of violations of Article 70 of the RF's CCP.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.     The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
