President of Chechnya promises to support all human rights activists

President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has called human rights organizations to cooperate with the leadership of the Republic in monitoring the observance of human rights. The statement was made by Kadyrov on February 22 at a meeting with representatives of Human Rights Organization "Memorial".

According to Kadyrov, "the Chechen Republic has no topics closed for human rights activist." "I'm ready to help in studying any problem, to consider any proposal of human rights organizations, and I think the final result will be better if we solve these problems together," he emphasized.

During the meeting with "Memorial" members the Chechen leader has informed that a joint commission will be set up to study the conditions of forced migrants in temporary accommodation centres (TACs).

In their turn, representatives of the "Memorial" gave support to Kadyrov's initiative about a new amnesty to participants of illegal armed formations and convicts sentenced during the active phase of the counterterrorist operation.
