Chechen separatists take responsibility for explosion of "Neva Express" train
On August 15, an unknown person telephoned to the North-Caucasian editorial board of the Radio Liberty and, representing himself to be deputy commander of the "Riyad Salikhin" grouping, stated that Chechen separatists took the responsibility for undermining the train. (Shamil Basaev's team of suicide-bombers had the name of "Riyadus-Salikhyiyn" (Righteous Gardens) - note of the "Caucasian Knot"). There are no confirmations of this information from other sources.
The two suspects of blowing up the "Neva Express" train on August 13, who were detained by employees of the FSB Department for St-Petersburg and Leningrad Region, were released without presenting any charges and taking the recognizance not to leave. A source from the FSB Department for St-Petersburg and Leningrad Region has informed the "Gazeta.Ru" that the detainees were of Slavic appearance and belonged to one of the banned parties of Russia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that the wreck of the train No. 166 Moscow - St-Petersburg happened on August 13 in the railroad section Burga-Malaya Vishera of the Oktiabrskaya Railways.
